Quality Management System in Elementary Schools
(Quality Management System in SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Parahyangan and SD Al-Irsyad Satya)
In general this research aims to investigate, make meaning and describe the implementation of quality management system in elementary schools under Education, Youth, and Sport Boards, West Bandung Regency. Specifically, the research is aimed at describing and making meaning of quality policy, monitroting and evaluation, and follow up of quality management system in elementary schools.
The results of the reseach are expected to constribute in terms of theory and practice to thefollowing aspects: 1. Theoretically, the result of the research can be as basic information and foundings for further research development in quality management system in elementary schools under Education, Youth, and Sport Boards, West Bandung Regency; 2. Practically, the benefits can be for SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Parahyangan and SD Al-Irsyad Satya, in there are efforts to develop and improve quality policy, quality planning, quality program implementation, quality controling, quality management monitoring and evaluation, and planning Hypotectic Model of quality management in elementary schools.
Method used in the research is qualitative method by using three data collection techniques, they are interview, document analysis, and observation. Data analysis is conducted by using data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusion and verification. The results show that in SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Parahyangan and SD Al-Irsyad Satya:
quality management supports can be seen from in vision, mission, and objectives; quality planning is already clear and does not need further interpretation; quality development plan is used continuously; quality program implementation results in optimum performance based on quality focus; all people in organization are expected to participate in the effortd of achiving quality; quality controlling is done by providing trainings to develop human resources in regular time and continuity in the forms of workshop, seminar, and etic.; in monitoring and evaluation of quality management, it is found that all processes and supportive elements of quality implementation are available and service to customers are as the customers; expectations; follow-ups of quality management improvement are done by setting sschool strategic plan based on evaluation results to improve and impement programs that have not been conducted by implementing strategies composed in school strategic plan.
