INVOLVING PARENTS MODEL IN IMPLEMENTATION OF CURRICULUM 2013

Abstract-The purpose of this study is to develop a model of parent involvement in curriculum implementation 2013. This research includes research and development (R & D). Development is done by following the steps as follows: namely (1) a description of the potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) the design of the model, (4) FGD, (5) the revised models by researchers, (6) validation of the model, (7) revision of the models by researchers, and (8) the resulting model. The study was conducted in SDIT Insan Kamil Bukittinggi. The informants consist of teachers, principals, foundations and parents. The results showed that: (1) the school has various expectations of parents in order to support the successful implementation of the curriculum, 2013. (2) The learners also have some expectations to the school and parents in supporting their learning success. Based on the findings of the study developed a model parent involvement in curriculum implementation, 2013. The results are packaged in a handbook consisting of Book I. Guidelines for schools in engaging parents and Book II Guidelines for parents to participate in the success of the implementation of the school curriculum in 2013.
