Indonesian workforce’s profile does not appear to have evolved in line with the demands of the labour market. It makes vocational education are more crucial to address potential skill mismatches. This study shows the strategic planning of some Vocational High Schools in Mojokerto in increasing their graduates competencies and competitiveness. SMK Negeri 1 Mojokerto, SMK Taman Siswa, and SMK PGRI have been emphasizing the competencies profile and their relevances to raise their standards through education and training system. It helps graduates to grow their employment performances. Relevances of graduates profile and labour market improve employability and participation in vocational education.
